Wednesday 10th May saw two teams from 1st Condorrat battle it out with others in the battalion in the annual first aid competition.
All the boys in the Company section had spent a few weeks learning and practising their First Aid skills, ably instructed by Mark, one of our Junior Section parents who volunteered to come along and help out. The boys learned all the basics, including how to treat cuts, assess and assist unconscious causalities and administer CPR. Valuable life skills for everyone.
At the competition the 2 teams were faced with a scenario that they both ably dealt with. The competition was tough but the boys were successful in securing 2nd and 3rd places.
The boys had a great time on the night and look forward to learning from this year and competing again in the future.
